LES Public Meeting at Lauritzen Gardens

Dear Loren Eiseley Society members,

This is an invitation for you to attend the next meeting of the Loren Eiseley Society on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Omaha’s Lauritzen Gardens in the main visitor center.

11:30 – 1 PM  Public Meeting

Tom Lynch presentation  “Artifacts and Illuminations”
Dr. Lynch is with the UNL English Department and has just published this book which is available on Amazon with Dr. Susan Maher, Dean of College of Arts & Sciences, University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Jim Locklear: Eiseley’s Sunflower Forest at Lauritzen Gardens
Jim is the Director of Conservation and Interim Director of Education at Lauritzen Gardens and has directed the Sunflower Forest program at Lauritzen Gardens involving elementary and middle school students in a pilot program sponsored by the Peter Kiewit Foundation. With an entrance fee, you will also have the opportunity to visit the Sunflower Forest if you choose to enter the botanical gardens.

If you plan to attend, please respond to pwimberly@eiseley.org so that your name can be forwarded to the front desk. You will need to check in at the front desk upon arrival. We will meet in a room adjacent to the dining area.
